Feeling fruity?

As everyone asked last year "where's your fruit", I now want the world to know I have strawberries in the gound. Roll on the strawberries and cream!

Phew it's hot in here!

While it minus temperatures outside, old polly is lovely and warm reaching over 40 degrees centigrade!!

Windbreak is up

You might think I've been sitting on my hands all winter doing nothing. Well actually that's not true! After a lot of digging and concreting I've installed a 3 meter high windbreak. I don't have a flatulance issue, but it can get quite windy around us!

New to 2010, baby sweetcorn

Baby sweetcorn are yummy so thought I'd try growing some myself!

Last year I spent most of the time picking weeds. So to try and combat this, I've put down a black plastic. Take that you weeds!!!

Pumpkins Galore!

Just picked my first ever pumpkin and weighed it! Was over 6kgs (1 stone)!!!! The pineapple is just to give a sense of scale.

So my lovely wife then proceeded to make gallons of pumpkin soup!

Todays harvest of Carrots and Beetroot

Loads of carrots today and some beet. Anyone got any carrot soup recipies?
